Tharin Pillay

Tharin Pillay is a writer, researcher, and reporter interested in how AI and other technologies are changing us. Before TIME, he worked on criminal justice policy research at a university; anti-corruption advocacy at a civil society organisation; and civil society strategy, media policy, and AI governance at a consulting startup.

Tharin holds an LLB from the University of Cape Town, a Master's in International Law from UCL, and a great deal of enthusiasm for the world around him.
