​The Tarbell Fellowship is a one-year programme for rising journalists interested in improving the world.

The fellowship represents a unique opportunity to do great journalism, covering topics that could have a major impact on the lives of billions of humans and animals.

Fellows receive a stipend of up to $50,000 to support them to freelance, take placements at major publications or conduct independent reporting. The programme incorporates speakers, feedback & mentorship from experienced journalists and regular training sessions. Upon graduation, we expect many fellows to bring their impact-focused perspective to major newsrooms around the world.
