Shakeel Hashim

Shakeel has been a business and technology reporter since 2018, most recently working as a news editor at The Economist. His AI newsletter, Transformer, is read by officials in the White House, the Senate and the Commerce Department. 

Shakeel recently worked as Head Of Communications at CEA and co-founded the AI Safety Communications Centre, a project connecting journalists to AI safety experts and resources. Shakeel is a permanent journalist-in-residence, splitting his time between producing independent AI journalism and contributing directly to Tarbell's work.
